Privacy Policy
Fortezza Group, LLC
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Fortezza Group, LLC ("Fortezza," "we," "us," or "our") provides software for monitoring and controlling connected equipment. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with the Fortezza application, account administration, support, and account security communications.
Information we collect
We collect information you or your account administrator provide, including your username, email address, telephone number, account permissions, and information included in support requests. If you contact us, we receive the contact information and content you choose to send.
We process account security information, such as password authentication records, verification status, trusted-browser identifiers, sign-in activity, and security events. Passwords are protected using authentication services and cryptographic password handling; they are not intended to be stored as readable account records.
We also process equipment and operational information associated with your account, such as equipment identifiers, site and pump names, assigned users, connection status, equipment readings, and control activity. Operational information may be associated with a user when needed to provide access, administer the service, or investigate an issue.
Our application and service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, timestamps, and diagnostic logs when you use the service.
How we use information
We use this information to provide and maintain the application; authenticate users and verify contact details or unfamiliar browsers; assign and enforce access permissions; display equipment status and process authorized controls; respond to support requests; troubleshoot failures; protect accounts and equipment against misuse; and meet applicable legal obligations.
Browser storage and trusted devices
The application uses browser storage for sign-in sessions and application functionality. If you choose to trust a device, authentication information stored in that browser helps recognize it during later sign-ins. A trusted device generally means a browser profile, rather than every browser on the same physical computer.
You can remove trusted devices through available account security settings. Clearing browser storage may also cause the browser to be treated as unfamiliar. Removing a device does not necessarily end an already active session immediately.
Email and SMS verification
We use email and, where available, SMS to deliver account security and verification messages. SMS verification is optional; email verification provides an alternative. Providing a telephone number alone does not authorize promotional messages.
If you choose to receive Fortezza security texts, messages may include contact-verification codes, codes for unfamiliar-browser sign-ins, and account recovery messages. Message frequency varies with your requests and account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages. For help, contact support@thefortezzagroup.com. If you stop receiving security texts, use email or contact support for assistance with account access.
We do not sell or rent personal information. Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and consent records are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We disclose information to service providers only as needed to operate and deliver the service, including authentication and messaging, and as otherwise described below.
When we disclose information
We use service providers, including Amazon Web Services, to host the application, store information, authenticate users, deliver messages, and support security and operations. These providers process information needed to perform those services.
Authorized account administrators may access account details, permissions, and relevant operational information to administer their organization's use of Fortezza. Your organization may have its own policies for information it supplies to or accesses through the service.
We may disclose information when required by applicable law or legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, equipment, Fortezza, or others. Information may also be transferred as part of a business reorganization, merger, acquisition, or sale, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain account and equipment records, investigate security or operational issues, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and the purpose for which it is used. Deleted or deactivated accounts may remain in audit records or backups until those records are retired through the applicable retention process.
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including access controls, encrypted network connections, and protected authentication credentials. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You can review or update information through available account settings or your account administrator. You can contact support@thefortezzagroup.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to ask about other privacy rights available under applicable law. We may need to verify your identity and coordinate with the organization that administers your account. Some information may need to be retained for security, audit, operational, or legal reasons.
Children and international use
Fortezza is intended for authorized equipment operators and business users, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information through the service.
The service uses infrastructure in the United States. If you access it from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable requirements.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or our practices change. We will post the updated policy with a revised date and provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
